LINCOLN, NEB. (Oct. 24, 2008)—Lieutenant Gov. Rick Sheehy announced the winners of the 2008 Nebraska Travel Industry awards at the Nebraska Travel Conference banquet last night.
Among the winners, James Arthur Vineyards, based in Raymond, Nebraska, received the award for outstanding website for a community up to 10,000. The award is based upon involvement in the tourism industry and the effectiveness of the site in driving tourism in Nebraska. Applicants were asked to submit statistics on site usage, explain how the site has increased tourism in the area and the strategy behind the design of the site.
“We’re so pleased to be named this year’s recipient of such a prestigious award,” said James Arthur Vineyards owners, Jim and Barb Ballard. “Our team has worked hard to get the site up and running and it’s nice to see their work has paid off.”
Named one of Nebraska’s largest wineries, James Arthur Vineyards is dedicated to producing the highest quality of Nebraska products and has been successful in receiving national recognition, including many "Best of Class" awards and "Double Golds.” Since it’s founding in 1997, James Arthur Vineyards has been at the heart of winemaking, pushing the limits of traditional winemaking to positively provide a unique and distinct product that best exudes “Nebraska charm.”
